The Easter Octave

By the provisions of the Book of Common Prayer, the weekdays of the Easter Octave (the week from Easter Day through the Second Sunday of Easter), like the days of Holy Week, take precedence over any commemorations on fixed dates. Thus, the feast of St Mark the Evangelist (April 25) will be transferred this year to April 28.

The appointed propers for the days of the Easter Octave may be found at the Lectionary Page.
